I have over 25 years experience of working in the cultural sector and my previous roles include senior manager at Creative Scotland; local authority arts development officer; lecturer; workshop facilitator; and arts practitioner.
In 1997 I joined Project Ability, Glasgow as co-ordinator of Trongate Studios a visual arts studio space for adults who have been through the mental health system.
In 2000 he joined the Cultural Services team at Stirling Council that was responsible for the £6million re-construction of the Tolbooth, Stirling’s place for music and the arts and where as arts development officer he ensured public engagement was intrinsically linked to the venue’s mainhouse programme.
In 2005 I joined Creative Scotland (formerly Scottish Arts Council) where as Youth Arts Manager my portfolio of responsibilities included leading on the delivery of the Youth Music Initiative, CashBack for Creativity, the development and implementation of Scotland’s first national youth music strategy, the development of Scotland’s first youth arts strategy and scoping the feasibility, role and functions of the national youth arts centre.
I have a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and an MA in Printmaking from Camberwell College of Arts, London. I've exhibited my work in Australia, Austria, Malta, Ukraine, United Kingdom and USA.
